One day a little girl was sitting and watching her dad fix the plumbing under the sink. She suddenly noticed that her dad had several strands of white hair sticking out in contrast to his brown hair.
She looked at her dad and inquisitively asked, "Why are some of your hairs white, Dad?"
Her dad replied, "Well, every time that you do something wrong and make me unhappy, one of my hairs turns white."
The little girl thought about this revelation for a while and then said, "Daddy, how come ALL of grandpa's hairs are white?"

Well Drew, Kevin and Kelli, why are all of Papaw's hairs white?
Drew and Kevin maybe, but not me. I never did anything. You stressed yourself out and turned those hairs white all on your own (as it pertains to me anyway). And meanwhile I got the rap of being the rebel child while Drew and Kevin got off scott-free on EVERYTHING! Talk about a double standard! :)
From the stories I've heard, Kelli caused them all!! :)
Matt, that is absolutely not true, the boys gave us their fair share of gray hair too. I have lots of stories I could tell. :)
What?!? What kinds of things are you telling your coworkers Dad?!
And why aren't you telling the stories about Drew and Kevin? Don't spare Drew just because he works with you!
Maybe I'll tell everybody about Drew and Kevin peeing in the backyard. Or Drew not coming home from prom till like 5 o'clock in the morning. Or Kevin breaking his collarbone while playing roller hockey. Don't those qualify for giving you a few gray hairs? Mom, help me out here. Share a few of your own.
Man, I tell ya. Now I know not to come back to your office :)
great stories and memories makes for a great life. and we wouldn't trade a single gray hair to be able to tell those stories.
love ya
Ok Kelli, here are a few on Drew and Kevin. How about the time they decided to go for a "swim" on a frozen pool. Drew falling on his head during a soccer game and getting a concussion. Kevin falling off the monkey bars and breaking his arm. There are many more from all of you, and now we have 4 awesome granddaughters that are contributing to the gray hair.
Love you all!!
I have been told that our gray hair is our "crown of glory." It is an indication of a long life.
