I'll NEVER forget looking at my babies in those beds with all the tubes and wires and lights. It was the hardest thing I personally have ever had to experience. I thank God every day for my miracle girls, knowing that they could be developmentally very different, or not with us at all, and that thought is just too much for me to bear.
I can't believe it's been nine years since all that...
I can't imagine what our lives would be like without you. I hate to see you growing up so quickly but grateful that you do not have any of the problems we were told were possible.
Whenever I think about you in the NICU I always think of the sign that hung above the sink where we had to wash our hands before seeing you.
"It's impossible to really prepare for what's behind the doors of an NICU-except to know that, as trying as it may be, miracles happen there every day."

Papaw loves you very much.
Happy Birthday Madie and Kenzie.
Happy belated birthday Madison and Mackenzie! You both are beautiful miracles!
